Working during the day, jommiΕ„ at night

2. What is your best memory of starting your career?
Recording my first split with Ancient Hound (@ancienthoundband) up in Boston was a watershed moment for me. Back then I was recording everything on my own and it was incredibly satisfying to be able to hear back something that started off as just an idea in my head.

3. What advice would you give to someone wanting to start a band?

Even if my songs gain barely any traction, i’m still glad I have them to listen back on as I get older. Also don’t take yourself too seriously. Nothing’s fun if you set expectations.

SHARMILA - R&B POP SENSATION RELEASES ALBUM πŸŒŸπŸŽ€πŸ“Ί

Netherlands based R&B pop sensation Sharmila has just dropped her latest album.

The self titled album ‘Sharmila’ contains previously written songs and material providing a real variety of styles to listen to.

The 9 track album mixes R&B, Dance and Pop. Containing some of her more known numbers ‘Burning For You (Club Mix)’ - a dance themed anthem, to R&B influenced tracks like ‘Respect Your Body’ and ‘Like A Drug?’.

Perhaps some inspiration has been drawn from the bigger names from that time like Dre and Eminen, yet there’s dance and club music elements too.

This new album gives a good idea of Sharmila’s versatility as an artist. Switching from pop, R&B and dance provides a good overall variety. Whilst some songs could drag you to the dance floor, others are pe…
