This is Flood!

1. What is a typical day/week like for you?

A typical day for me consists of thanking the LORD for waking me up headed to work, on lunch I usually write music and watch video game videos, I'm a nerd yo. Getting home recording then hitting the game up.  My week is mostly the same. I really be just working my ass Of and trying to relax on down time when I ain't on the game or doing music.

2. What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?

The advice I would give to someone trying to pursue Hip Hop is to stick wit it this is not just something to do this is a culture and a lifestyle. It gets rough as hell at times and I do mean rough but as long as u stick with it and stay true to your art, you'll be straight. And work hard at it. I mean hard.

3. How to book shows/ promote guests?

I work without a manager so I tend to network and jump at every opportunity to rock the stage. I book my shows by talking to hosts, venue owners, event throwers, all that type of stuff. When I perform at a show I talk to everyone I can and I make sure whoever have another event going on that I'm at it or trying to be in it.  I promote myself to the fullest but I stick to my style. I promote myself with the steez of True Hip Hop.

4. What’s your favorite album from another artist?

I would have to say one of my favorite albums from another artist would have to be “Whut, Thee Album” by Redman. One of my  local favorites would have to be Young Gage “Pressure Points.”

5. What song of yours are you most proud of?

One of my songs that I'm most proud of “Insane Degenerate” and “Black Rock”

6. Tell us about your music

My music stays true to real Hip Hop. I pride myself on my hard work to pushing and filling my music with dope lyricism, Wordplay, flow, and meaning. My music would bring you back to that 90s type real true to the bone hip hop.

Interview with Matt Westin and The Now Legacy! πŸŽ₯πŸŽ₯

1. What is a typical day/week like for you?

My days/weeks have been unpredictable for years since I left engineering for good. But recently, I've been working part time wiring/rewiring houses and businesses with a couple family electrical companies, then I hit the gym (at least 5 days a week), then I try to relax in the evenings. Those long days at work and the gym can be pretty exhausting! I bowl with my brothers and my cousin in a league on Tuesday nights, then we grab a few beers at the local fire hall afterwards. Thursday and Sunday nights I blow off steam, laugh, and drink beer at a local brewery with some of my very best friends. I DJ almost every Friday night and occasionally on Saturday nights. I'm looking forward to getting my band up an running so I can add rehearsal and performances to my weekly agenda!

2. What is your best memory of the start of your career?
