Colin Kaepernick is coming for The NFL Owners!! ššš
Kap is making moves!
Sunday morning, a few reports made headlines that Colin Kaepernick filed a grievance under the NFLās collective bargainingĀ agreement (CBA) for collusion against all of the owners in the NFL. Colin Kaepernick is being represented by the high profiled lawyer Mark Geragos, the attorney who has represented such big named clients as Michael Jackson and Chris Brown.

āColin Kaepernickās goal has always been, and remains, to simply be treated fairly by the league he performed at the highest level for and to return to the football playing field,ā Geragos said.
āIf the NFL (as well as all professional sports leagues) is to remain a meritocracy, then principled and peaceful political protestāwhich the owners themselves made great theaterĀ imitating weeks agoāshould not be punished and athletes should not be denied employment based on partisan political provocation by the Executive Branch of our government.āĀ
The union (NFLPA) also went on to express their intentions to support and ability to assist Kaepernick āas we do all players.ā
āWe first learned through media reports today that Mr. Kaepernick filed a grievance claimingĀ collusion through our arbitration system and is represented by his own counsel,ā read a statement from the NFLPA union. āWe learned that the NFL was informed of his intention to file this grievance before today.ā
Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the San Fransico 49ers, expecting to sign with any other team in the league. Noneā¦.. The quarterbackĀ who threw 16 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions in 12 games last year, could not find a spot with any team despite his agent reaching out to all 32 teams to express his availability.
The entiretyĀ of this situation came in midst of Kaepernick taking a knee during the national anthem, protesting againstĀ racial inequality and police brutality against minorities in the United States.
