Q&A with popular filmmaker Alex Alonso 🎬🎞🎥

Q&A

1. How long have you been in this industry and what jobs?

For the past eight years, I have acted among  many stars, from films like Batman, Mib, Sopranos and was the son of Christiane Tricerri, Brazilian theater legend in the film born splendid. I have been the lead on numerous short films and more than 6 full-length projects.

 My favorite film was Complexed.

2. What is a typical day/week like for you?

I go to the production company where I stay some time at the creative and I produce my own films on daily bases. I really like to go out with my friends too. Drink some beer and chat. I also spend a lot of time doing freelance work for creatives.

3. What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue this career?

Well, google it, study, go watch a film, watch a film you would never watch, get out or your daily routine, get back in, basically try to sense the most you can, because acting, doing cinema, directing it, is and it always was about I believe in knowing what shakes you up the core.

4. How many appearances are needed to be made to promote your work?

I think there isn’t an exact number, is more of an impact and, how long it will cast, well I don’t know, what I do know is that we should avoid some things like, closing up this number, I truly prefer a dedicated small crowd, then an appeal to a large audience always updated by bigger interests.

5. What’s your favorite film/work ever done?

Born Splendid, Complexed and Cadillac Respect.

6. Which body of your work are you most proud of?

It’s my versatility to perform in various scenarios, complex or appealing, always proactive towards the film goal, whichever it is.  With time we start to understand that making marginalized cinema depends upon this creativity in front of our low budget.

7. Tell us about your latest film/what can we expect from it?

Well, Inside of Me is a film about sexual deviance, sexual naturality, and complexes both sexual and physical, mentally challenging? I wouldn’t  say, I think it’s a pretty much upfront film when it comes to telling which is the narrative. I had the opportunity in this film to work with for the second time with misses Tricerri.
