Question & Answer Interview

1. What is a typical day/week like for you?

- I wake up around 9, then get to my desk and start work. As soon as I finish work I’m pretty much writing until my brain is completely exhausted.

2. What is your best memory of starting your career?

- The first call I had with my producer. At that point, I was having a really hard time finding someone to produce the EP and I was really close to just giving up and moving on. But as soon as we started talking about my vision and my idea, he caught onto it immediately. I can just describe vibes and emotions to him and he can create the exact track I had in my head. Honestly, working with Ethan was something that really brought ‘Fabricated’ together.

3. What advice would you give to someone wanting to create and market a brand from scratch?

- I would say that step one is to find your sound, then figure out what you want to say. Once you create that it becomes a more cohesive vision. One thing I like to do is to describe my vision in three words and I don’t put anything out there unless it falls under those three words.

4. How can others reach out to you for music collaboration information?

- Just through my instagram (@heeyitsice) or through my website (heeyitsice.com)

5. What’s your next marketing moves for your career? Talk about your new EP?

- I can’t give it all away, but the next step is just experimenting and deciding on a colour for the next album. For Fabricated I went with purple. I like to associate all my music and different eras of my life with different colours. I chose purple for this project because it represents ambition and devotion. This EP is really focused on my ambition in music and my devotion to me. I’m still in the process of figuring out what the next one will be, and it’s going to take a little bit more self-reflection.

6. Name your top 5 musicians; dead or alive?

- Lana Del Rey, Lorde, The Glorious Sons, The Marias, and The Sonics. In no particular order.
